Shreq's Swamp Shreq?s Swamp
Combine Lord Farquad with a host of fairy tale baddies and Shreq with all the goodie-two shoes of fairy tale fame, sprinkle in a little Monty Python and what do you get? A kickass scenario game that?s what. Even though Shreq?s army managed to detonate the holy hand grenade just outside the gates to Lord Farquad?s castle and capture a victory in the final battle it was not enough to defeat Farquad?s mighty army. The evil team triumphed though not but much, the margin of victory was a slim 22 points.
For the second time this year Blackcat came to Phoenix and brought a great game to Southwest Paintball. Apparently word has been spreading about how awesome scenario paintball is. Blackcat managed to top his previous Arizona registration record with a showing of 260 players. Despite having that many people on the field there were no major incidents and the refs managed the game great.
Team Phreekz got together as a team and actually dressed up for our roles as Captain Hook?s men (pics will be posted soon). We all had a great time playing in costume and we will be looking forward to doing so more often.
Thank you Blackcat (www.blackcatpaintball.com) and Southwest Paintball (www.southwestpaintball.com) for a great game.
EDIT: Pics are now up and can be viewed HERE.

El Dio De Los Muertos 2 El Dio De Los Muertos 2
The second chapter in the day of the dead scenario has come to an end. Although the survivors fought bravely and sprayed zombie brains all over Cross-U Ranch it was not enough to keep the zombie horde from creating a baby that is part human, zombie and demon. Congrats to the zombies on a come from behind victory. However neither side was able to eliminate the other completely, so the struggle between Survivors and Zombies shall continue?
..
Let me just say that was one awesome game. By far the best Blackcat game I have ever been a part of! We had just over 200 men women and children battling it out. There were a ton of first timers at the game and every one of them I talked to said they loved scenario play and they were coming back for more. That probably had something to do with the excellent sportsmanship and skilled play of both sides.
We can?t wait till next year so we can spray Cross-U all over again. Till then we will try to spread some Phreekz love here in Phoenix and maybe even in NM and CA.

The Book Of Set Our second scenario back and our second Blackcat game, hmm what a strange coincidence. The rain seemed to scare away too many people but we still had a good team turn out. It only rained for a few minutes during actual play and we were told after the fact about some tornado warnings but we were too busy spraying paint to notice some sissy funnel clouds.
Four Phreekz actually showed up to play during the night game and Troy won the sportsmanship award for spot lighting the enemy and taking friendly fire in the back all night long.
We captured the Book of Set but we failed to capture the jewel required to read it. The evil side lost by the slimmest margin anyone has ever heard of a measly 38 points.
We all had a great time and can?t wait till we play in Prescott for the rematch of ?The Day of the Dead? game.

El dio de los muertos (Day of the Dead) Well, the teams first scenario in what, 3 years, went really well. We had about 8 people playing, with 2 more showing up for support. It was a fun game, with a few injuries. Squee, Whitebread and Dogbite all wound up getting shot in the crotch. Good times there. It was the first scenario game for many of us, and it was nice to meet the people the the others on the team had talked about. As soon as we get the pics off of peoples cameras we will be posting them up.
The game wasnt able to be completed because of the rain, but it will be continued at the next game they have at Cross U. The field was excelent, as was the hospitality. From the provided firewood, to the cowboy cooking, to they way they helped in any way they could, we couldnt be happier with the place. Spiro and Kitty of Blackcat Productions were great, very flexible and helpfull.
We are really looking foreward to the next game at Southwest in Surprise, and can't wait to see everyone again.squeeonMonday 08 November 2004 - 14:48:09 Read/Post Comment: 14
Getting going. People are signing up, and everyone seems pretty excited. When you sign up, if i recognize you i will add permissions to check the phreekz only sections of the site, otherwise you will need to post and let me know you need access. We are considering changing hosting providers, but that would mean losing all current emails you have in your phreekz email box. Does anyone have important emails in there they dont want to lose? Just something to think about.
If anyone comes across info on scenario games coming up, post it in the forums so we can check it out. Thats about it for now.squeeonFriday 10 September 2004 - 18:46:56 Read/Post Comment: 10
